When I ran my runflats, first 15000 miles, I received better gas mileage on trips than afterwords. More than likely you current set is well worn and aged, unless it is a daily driver. The sidewalls of runflats are very rigid and that usually leads to better mileage at the cost of handling.
I think runflats weigh more less weight better gas milage?
In that respect, I would tend to think that MAYBE, when starting from a dead stop, the heavier RFs might require a bit more energy, in order to get the car in motion, but once rolling, their stiffer sidewalls would offer less rolling resistance. And most likely, those two factors would cancel each other out.
