I have been reading all the threads about the outside ambient air temperature sensor and my particular problem doesn’t seem to have ever been addressed. (Please excuse me if I just missed it)
I have a 2000 Coupe. DIC is throwing B0333 and outside temp is always showing 69 degrees. Thanks to everyone on the forum, I had no problem self-diagnosing that the ambient temp sensor was either corroded or needed to be replaced. I also had no problem finding it. So here’s the issue..
The old sensor is right where it should be on the right front radiator support. However, it’s not attached to anything and I can’t find the plug anywhere. No extra dangling wires where it may have been cut off either.
Car has an aftermarket Callaway induction that was on at time of my purchase. I’m thinking that when the previous owner installed it, he intentionally/unintentionally ripped the connector and wiring out. Either way, it’s nowhere to be found.
So one end of the connector attaches to the sensor....what/where/how does the other end connect to???? Thanks ahead of time for any help you guys can give me.
The ambient air temp sensor is a 2 wire thermistor circuit...a 5 volt reference comes from the HVAC module and the ground also goes to the HVAC module...5 volt ref is a light green/black and ground is gray/black !!
Hood light work? The hood light connector is the same size and opposite sex. My hood light harness was plugged into the sensor probe harness. Neither worked...
