Default EBCM Part No. 12232961 Does it work?

I have been reading the EBCM thread to end all EBCM threads (500 posts and counting!), and saw this part number (12232961) mentioned, but no answer on whether or not it actually replaces the original part numbers (10343433, or 10323578) in 2001-2004 Corvettes: https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...r-fleabay.html

My EBCM has been professionally repaired once to fix the C1214 code, and it worked for a year after the repair. Now I'm getting C1571, and NO COMMS, which also points to problems in the EBCM (after I checked the grounds and found them to be OK). I'd like to buy a new EBCM, but the original part numbers (10343433, or 10323578) are out of production. After some extensive Googling, I found 12232961 mentioned in the above noted thread as a possible replacement that is available from the major parts houses, but no follow-up to say that it actually worked when installed in a 2001-2004 C5.

Can anyone here shed some light on this question? I know from experience that on occasion a newer part will fit an older application and work just fine, BUT the manufacturer will not reveal that it works for various reasons.
Here's a picture of another Forum member's ECBM with cracks at the power supply joints. I'm guessing that's what my problem is.
I am now in the process of disassembling my EBCM, with an intention to check additional solder joints for defects, but I'd really like to have the answer to this question up my sleeve.
Thanks!

Speedometer guy in winona mn fixed mine. No issues since. he can fix other issues aside from soldering, and can test it. - said mine was a 'driver and relay'

That gives me some hope for fixing my current problem. I already sent it out once, and felt that a second professional repair wouldn't be effective (That's why I'm looking for any experience on using an EBCM with part number 12232961from the same manufacturer that looks identical to my unit.) I'll pull the codes again and give the guy in Minnesota a call.
Thanks!

The aftermarket parts suppliers I checked for 12232961 don't list Corvette as an application.
Lists Buick here.

This one lists Buick and Pontiac.

Thanks for the info! It looks like GM discontinued the EBCM for our cars, but is making a very similar (identical on the outside) module for Pontiac and Buick. I'll just have to resign myself to buying a unit from one of the Corvette salvage companies. It sticks in my craw that these used units sell for more than the price of new similar units from the vendors you cited.
