Hood alignment issues
Hello! So bare with me I'll be typing this on my phone.
I picked up a 01 Corvette. Had a missing hood, damaged passenger side hinge due to the previous owner ramming into a deer, a motorcycle, or pinning it under a truck or something
We took it apart and the frame looks okay, crash bar is undamaged so we think some how just the hood got caught and was torn off. Anyways, replacing whatever was broken got me to this issue. I found a black takeoff hood and ordered just a passenger side hinge, and installed it.
The passenger side aligned pretty well, just about flush but could use a hair more tweaking to get it perfect. However, the driver side is giving me issues. So, made sure the hood adjustment posts were not touching the hood when closed and made my adjustments. And it still sits a little too high.
To try and compensate, we adjusted the latches on the fenders cause they were scooted down just a bit and this is how high the hood is off still
I have a D/S hinge coming in case that one got tweaked but anything else I can look into in the mean time?
