Thanks!. I had to replace the entire lens because the bulb had melted the case. The bulb sockets show heat damage but the pin connections are OK and the bulbs properly latch. The LED's are expensive and for now no reason to do the tail lights.

Default Is there a way of correcting the hazard hyperflash issue?

If it were only one side, then it would probably be the multifunction switch (MFS).

When the problem is affecting both sides, then it's probably the Hazard Switch going bad. In a C5 the turn signal and hazard functions are provided by the hazard switch.

You can replace the hazard switch, but a Hyperflash Harness should fix your problem and is easier to install. As an added bonus, it will allow you to install LEDs in the future with no hyperflashing.

A hyperflash harness replaces the portion of the hazard switch that handles the turn signals with a flasher that's LED friendly. Hazards will still hyperflash because that function remains untouched in the OEM hazard switch.

Check this one out. It's completely plug-and-play: no splicing or anything.
I installed LEDs on all the car. I also installed the hyperflash harness thinking it would eliminate this from happening. While it does correct the issue on the turn signals, it does nothing for the hazards. Is there a way to also prevent the hazards from hyperflashing?

In this application any LED's will do. I bought a
dozen dozen
194's for $5 and they work just fine. I replaced all of the 194's in the car and in a couple of locations I had to knock off the little barbs on the sides of the bulb base but other than that they worked fine and were plug and go.

I have full LED rears but the 9057 bulbs aren't expensive either.

Now, if we're talking headlights then that gets into a whole different area of bulbs and I'm not stirring that hornet's nest.

Hey Autoeng,
Thanks for quick reply, but perhaps I did not make myself clear: I have already changed all the lights in my C5 for LEDs. There are no more incandescent bulbs left anywhere. Now, speaking about hyper-flashing, I installed the hyper-flash harness which eliminated this issue from the turn signals. HOWEVER, the hazard blinkers are still hyper-flashing, and the guys at Sharp Light Innovations told me that there is nothing to do because the Hazard circuit is different form the Turn Signal circuit, so the harness has no influence on the hazards. Regardless, I have seen C5s with LEDs whose Hazards do not hyper-flash, so I know it is possible to accomplish this. My question is, How?
