Great job, Jon! I think that the write up is right on the money. Thanks for taking the time to help the rest of us out and contribute back!

Thanks for looking it over. 4-5 people that have done the job have looked it over now. I have implemented most of the suggestions, but I left a few out so I don't overwhelm people with 15 ways to do things. Anyways, thanks for looking it over.

jmX,

Excellent work! This is the kind of stuff that really makes the forum worth while. I started doing something like this when I did my blower install, but quickly realized that it was way too time consuming the first time through.

I also live in Austin and will probably end up doing a few self installs over the next few months (maybe even heads and cam). I have a feeling that a new clutch will be required first though.

Again, awsome job!

Thanks man, and its cool another DIY'er is in austin. If you do any mods yourself in the future that might be worth documenting, let me know and I'd love to swing by and help/document/photograph the thing so I can do more writeups. Right now I can only writeup on stuff I can afford, and after the heads/cam, thats nothing. :(

JohnnyC5, thanks. Once the word gets out and I get a few more C5 mods up there I think the site will be pretty well known.
