Default Stock air box.

I have had my 1999 since 2010. The previous owner installed a cold air intake, and it looks like s*** . How much trouble would it be to go back with the stock air box? Thanks.

Is the radiator shroud cut? I can’t tell what has been altered.

You’ll need a new shroud then. You can find one here.

http://www.vettenuts.net/index.php?l..._detail&p=1026

youll need an oem air box but you can also just get an airaid intake which is bolt on and looks great.

cant tell if the air bridge has been cut.

That is an early style true CAI, most racers found out it did not flow enough air for them and eventually move to the original Ice Box intake then the C6 came out. For most street cars it will be better than the OEM or any other under hood air cleaner because it brings in outside air to the engine instead of heated engine bay air. What most did at that time was put a screen in the intake hole in the shroud to keep the debris out. On the street/track it will work very well till you pass 120 mph

Avoid ecklers at all costs. They rip off old men who don’t know any better than to pay their price gouged costs. Ecklers should be sued for elder abuse.

heres one for $30 bucks.
