Default Replace the water pump now?

2000 M6 97k

I am about to replace the AC compressor and the water pump has to come off in the process. I haven't had any problems with it yet, however, it has quite a few miles on it and from reading quite a few threads it looks to be a failure point ranging from 60-150k miles but I don't know what the average would be. Would it be a good idea to replace the pump now instead of having it become more and more of a worry? Thank you for reading!

For how much they cost i would say its a good idea. Your going to be in there anyways. And you dont have to touch the water pump to change A/C. Just for your info.

Oh I could have sworn that was part of the process! Thank you for clarifying!

It doesn't according to this thread, but I think removing the water pump is easier than jacking the engine up
