Default Flexplate/Driveshaft splined coupler clamp ?

Thinking I was going to make this task easier I loosened the clamp and removed the driveshaft/flexplate coupler from the driveshaft and bolted it to the flexplate on my new engine, bolted the engine/torque tube together, my question is. does the clamp position effect the balance of the driveshaft ? If so how do I go about getting it back in the correct position and what is the torque on the allen head bolt? thanks for any help on this.

Yes it does, thanks. So if I removed the engine without installing the bearing position locking bolts exactly what happened inside the torque tube? Aren't the bearings pressed into the torque tube housing? I also installed a new stall converter and differential. Everything went together easy with very little pushing on the driveshaft on either end.

Hmmm. Sorry maybe I lost you. Did you take your torque tube apart?

Default Driveshaft coupler clamp

No I didn't do anything to the tq. tube other than remove the trans and engine off of it and put a rebuilt engine and trans, stall back on, but I have read posts that talk about installing bearing retaining bolts to hold the bearings in place on the engine end of the tube during trans. torque tube removal/reassembly. There hasn't been any forcing, hammering, pulling together with bolts on any part of the reassembly, Every thing has went back together with minimal resistance. If the bearings are pressed onto the driveshaft and the driveshaft is pressed/hammered snap ringed into place in the tube and bolted down, what's the chance of the bearings moving out of position during the trans, engine being put back on it?
