Other than sticking out from the rear fender a little, is there any reason not to use the ZR1 17x11's with the 36mm offset, on a C5?
Exactly what does the off set mean, because mine are 50mm off set and they only stick out a little. I guess that is how far they stick out. So 14 mm would be just a little more than 1/2 an inch, therefore, they might not stick out at all or just slightly. If that is the case, I see no problem unless the wheel hits the A frame arm, then you will need to grind it slightly. See the Pic.
Wheel Offset is the distance from its hub mounting surface to the centerline of the wheel.
The offset is Positive if the mounting surface is toward the front side of the wheel, and Negative if the mounting surface is toward the back side of the wheel. On the ZR1 wheels, the offset is Positive, so a 36 mm offset will stick out further than a 50 mm offset wheel.

MY GS wheels must have a negative 50mm offset, if they had a positive offset they would stick out much farther than a positive 35mm offset. Is that correct!
Your GS wheels have a 50mm Positive offset. Make youself a little diagram and you will see that a 36mm ZR1 wheel will stick out further than a 50mm GS wheel.
