Client's 99 that I updated to the late model TPMS/Remote system about 5 years ago. In for some other work... Remotes & TPMS not responding. I can access the reciever with my Tech2. Shows me info on itself including that 2 remotes are programmed & the tires are still programmed. However, even after checking./replacing remote batteries I can NOT get the to either sync or reprogram. Same with the TPMS sensors. I can get it to go into program/learn mode but it never responds to the remotes or TPMS sensors. I also have the Kent Moore fob checker & its shows both fobs are putting out a signal...
Of course it appears GM is out of the receivers?? Anyone have any ideas?
BTW, I also pulled the receiver & opened the case to inspect the board for damage. Under the lighted magnifying glass it all looks good.
Ever get any suggestions? Been fighting the same battle on my'03, which used to work. Replaced receiver, all new sensors, two visits to dealer, BCM does see replacement receiver, happily goes into reprogram mode, then nada. Tried magent, pressure up/down, and now a reprogramming tool. Started checking grounds and am trying to find wiring path to/from receiver now.
Pisses me off because I don't run the clunky-feeling runflats.
and they work! Must be something about programming, I dunno. Now I have only tried holding them in my hand, with a cheap programming tool that was only $9.99
but finally - beeps! Right away! Now to have them put in the wheels... but our symptoms were the same. Must be some p/n mixup on compatible sensors or something.
