Just got done installing LEDs in my tailights, rear side marker, brake light...only halogen remaining is the front side marker. So my DRL switchbacks are amber and the blinker works fine with lights off...if I put the lights on then it switches to white. But when I turn on the blinker the white never shuts off and the amber blinks...so you really cant see the amber blinker.....any ideas??
Did you try flipping the bulb in question? I think I had the same weird thing happen when I did mine. Just to clarify same bulb and same connector just pull the bulb turn it 180* and re install.

Sorry that’s the extent of my electrical troubleshooting skills, I’m sure one of the more seasoned C5 guys will chime in
thanks...its a weird problem for sure, especially since both builds do it....also hyperflashes with hazards on if headlights are on as well. No headlights, no hyperflash...and I do have a hyperflash harness....urgh
What bulbs did you end up with? I'm swapping mine very soon? Thanks!
I got the iBrightstar switchbacks from Amazon. They were around $21.99 or so for the pair. They work as advertised and I have no issue so far....Plus 1 year warranty if you register them with iBrightstar....

Awesome! Thanks for the help. It's a PITA to find a good set.
^you'll still need a flasher bypass harness to avoid hyperflashing.
as far as the original concern of amber-white-amber-white vs amber-off-amber-off, the earlier generation of switchback LEDs were designed this way. now most all switchbacks should do the amber-off thing.

Same problem here with Corvette Mods bulbs, their customer service said nothing they would do, will never spend another dime with them. Bought JDM's, worked prefect with a load resistor

yeah, don't believe corvette mods BS...I got my money back in full. If you buy with a credit card then just fight it. I had no issue after I refuted the sale as defective bulbs...Now corvette mods did say that I was guilty of cyber theft as i still had the bulbs, but i kept all my emails of me asking for a return address. I told them that their company is a joke and to have their lawyer call me. Two days later I got my refund finalize and sent pics of the leds after I took a hammer to they...

You say that your DRL are "amber", yet the link to the bulbs say that it should be white. Can you kindly reconfirm that you indeed have a yellow DRL?
I am looking for white DRL and the last two that I have ordered, which state DRL should be white, are yellow. Everything else works as advertised. I am waiting for my hyperflash bypass harness to arrive. Perhaps once it is installed, this may correct my issue...??
The DRLs and the Turn Signals use the same high output filament of the bulb, Park Light use the low out filament.
The DRLs and the Turn Signals will always be the same color. You will need a resistor across the Turn Signal Output or a Hyper Flash Unit
for correct operation of LED.
I made a timer module to get White DRLs and Park Lights with Yellow Turn Signals. I hated the Yellow DRLs.
Also, Turn Signal are required to be Yellow (Amber) in the front.
After my post I did find exactly what you are detailing in other posts.
I have purchased and am awaiting a harness from Sharp Light Innovations to correct this issue as I also do not like the yellow DRL.
