Reposition the ignition bezel. You may have to remove the radio bezel to do what you need. If you go that far, be aware it takes a good amount of force to pull the ignition bezel off. It pulls straight off.
Mine is loose but key still works. I think it is held in place by one screw. Push it around and try and get it loose like mine and you should be able to use the key. Lot of guys have them loose and like me hate to tear into it to replace. See them on EBAY for sale.
I'm sorry Jake, but I just have to ask. Did you happen to play football in college around the 1996 era? I've never had my switch out yet so I'm sorry for not having any help for you but I had to ask that question though. Good luck with your fix and post back if you figure it out and what the fix was.
my ign.bezel looks just like yours but is not cracked Does this bezel have anything to do with the switch or cylinder. My key is starting to feel rough when turing. The cylinder is off center.Does the bezel centerr support anything
NO no college football. I was able to partially remove the radio bezel in my office parking lot and get the car home. I then immediately left to go camping for the weekend. I'll tear into it further this week.

Finally had a few minutes to tear into this. Got the radio bezel out and a better look at the ignition switch bezel. It appears that someone tried to jimmy the switch, I can't imagine how the bezel would crack like it did. I glued it, repositioned it, and put the radio bezel back in place and went to a local car show. Good to go so far. I did order a new bezel, OUCH$
BTW the bezel is held in place by the radio bezel only. The hole in the bezel is for a grommet on a wire.

I disagree. The ignition bezel is held firmly in place to the dash / ignition cylinder. It takes a significant tug to remove when properly installed. The radio bezel then goes over the ignition bezel but had no holding force applied. When you get your new ignition bezel, it may make more sense.

I must b missing it but what holds it in place, you say firmly in place to dash/ignition cylinder, what holds it firmly in place?? Does it pop in place around ignition switch somehow. Saw one on ebay 19 bucks, has a hole in it that I thought would be for a screw??? Thanks
3sACROUD is correct it snaps on to the ignition switch but that collar is broken on mine so the radio bezel is all that is holding it right now. The new part when it gets here will snap into place.
