Default Tire and Wheel Sizes

I just got a set of C6 Z06 replicas for my C5. The standard fronts are 17x8.5 inches and the new fronts are 17x9.5 inches. I am wondering what size tires to get so there are no issues with any sensors (standards are 245/45/17 - 275/40/17 maybe?). Also does anyone know if the inch wider width will rub anywhere (driving/turning)?
Thanks in advance for any help and opinions. Stay safe!

I use the 275/40 front but people use 255 i wouldn't go smaller. Since your rim is 9.5 and remember thishttp://www.toquez06.com/wheels.html

Most manufacturers list acceptable rim widths for a selected tire on their site. The inch wider deal is the width the Z cars run.

02Z I am running 285/35/18 falcon fz510's all the way around. No issues on street or track and love the grip on tires. Have little over 7k miles on this set up and factory z rear wheels

I just picked up some Z06 Speedline wheels (from an '04, I think). The tires on them have a little tread left but are 11 years old, so I need to put on some new rubber. I just ordered from Tire Rack - Continental Extreme Contact Sport SLs - 275/40/17 on the front and 295/35/18 on the rear. The rear is the OEM size for Z06 wheels. The front OEM was 265/40/17, but not many still come in this size.
