!!!The dreaded take key out for 10 seconds followed by service column lock messages hit us 6 days after buying.

The guy we bought it from even offered to buy our battery as he felt bad. He had had it in storage so the battery hadn't been used and he had used a trickle charger. We just went ahead and bought the battery as our first trick to make it work. No dice.
Thank you so much for all of the options to try to resolve in FAQ! Unfortunately, none of the tricks resolved it so we're sad our nightly drives went on hold. We started with pulling 25 & 29 fuses and waiting 15 min. I then found a thread that said try pulling the 23 fuse then wait 15 seconds. That was supposed to reset the BCM. Still can't drive our "new" Corvette.

The column was not locked so the previous owner must had the recall applied, as he said he took it in to dealership (he works there) after he got it same message shortly after he bought it year before. I am assuming the dealership didn't want to put the LCM5 on it! He has owned over five Corvettes or even more over his lifetime!
We ordered LCM5 on Friday and had it shipped and received it today and we're back in business.
To everyone that comes across this message, get the LCM5. We had already pulled the passenger side fuse cover and we're ready to install and my husband had it done in less than an hour.
The only thing we never tried to get it started again was to follow up mechanics trick. Our neighbor is a mechanic at one of the dealerships and he said when all else fails take the positive and the negative off of the battery and hold them together for 15 seconds. He said that resets everything. We may have tried it, but we didn't find that trick out until late yesterday and we knew the part was coming next day. Did anyone ever try that to resolve it so you could drive it again? We won't know because now we've got it running

I look forward to taking a ride as soon as my dinner guest leave tonight!
