Default Oil filter with the nips?

Good Day,

This is the filter I use on my bike. I was wondering if there is anything similar to this on the Vette so I can tighten to the specific torque given. Also, what are you guys using to toque the oil pan bolt to spec? There is almost no space in front of that bolt. I have done this twice now to elbow spec and it keeps me awake at night.

K&N Also has the nut welded on the bottom. HP-1007 is the model number.

K&N. Probably just being paranoid, but I stopped using them because it made the oil filter sit even lower to the ground and the nut gives random road object something to grab onto potentially.

I use one of these with my torque wrench without any problem. The wobbling is enough to make it possible.

K&N? Yikes...
I did see these. Looks like it would work for torquing to spec. I just have to find one that works with the Vette,

I'll give it a shot the next time I'm under the car. I have a few extensions but figured they wouldn't fit based on the angle.

I don't know if you noticed from the picture, but it's not a "regular" extension. It is a Wobble Extension Bar

Just keep in mind that when using a torque wrench with a crowfoot, unless the crowfoot is inserted at 90° in relation to the wrench, the value that needs to be set in the torque wrench must be recalculated in order to apply the correct torque. The reason is that, otherwise, the effective length of the wrench changes, affecting the applied torque.
