Default Need fob help

Hey guys I know this is beneath most of the issues you guys deal with here but your help is appreciated nonetheless. 02 Z06.

Both fobs stopped working. I got new batteries same thing. Tested new batteries so I know they are good. I held lock and unlock for 7 seconds and nothing happened. Next I went into the re-pair step...when I get into the fob training part display I hit reset once like it says and it just stays on fob training doesn’t proceed to display “hold lk and unlok”. Am I missing something? What are my next steps? Thanks in advance.

Mike

There is a receiver module in the car that the FOB communicates with, maybe it has failed or lost power, I really don't know much more, like where this module is located etc. Hopefully somebody will respond to this thread and add some more understanding of what is happening.

new fobs for your year are dirt cheap. Sometimes they fail, buy a new one.

If it's the receiver I'd just get a new one. As stated, fobs are very inexpensive. I bought two on Ebay for $10.00 when I upgraded my '98 receiver to an '02... Very easy job to change the receiver out. Check with www.contemporarycorvette.com this is where I got mine. GOOD LUCK!
