Driver side door buttons not working. Got every warning.
New to this forum so if I break a rule or if this has been solved forgive me.
So my driver side door buttons stopped working. No window, mirror controls, or anything. When I opened the door and simply moved the rubber between the door and the hood to look at the wiring harness I got every warning. Service Active handling, reduced engine power, service shocks, service due soon. When I turned the car on and off all those warnings went away again until I touched it again.
i simply touched the rubber in a specific place just messing around and the lights to the door came back on and all the buttons work now.
is this something to be worried about? What could it be?
Yes, there is a driver door module connection under the rubber boot...you are losing either power and ground there and then you’ll get serial data bus issues and that is why you are seeing all those warning !!... does your fuel gauge go to empty and water temp gauge maxes out ??...this is also what you’ll see...check for loose or corroded terminals at that connection !!

no I have not noticed any problems with the gauges. This is the first time it’s happened I’ve had the car for two weeks so I guess I’ll take a look
