Help! Pulsing brakes...
I've got stock pads with less than 10k miles on them on the front. I'm not sure of the condition of the rear pads, though they were at about 50% when I had the fronts replaced.
I'm leaving open the option of replacing my rotors and possibly upgrading them to something that looks cooler like the Eradispeeds. Are there any actual benefits to the slotted and cross drilled rotors? I've been reading opinions all over the place on this issue.
What about my pads? Should I upgrade to Hawks or Raybestos ceramics?
Should I just take my rotors off, clean up the hubs and remount them and see if that helps?
I've got a dial indicator, is it worth trying to check the runout on the rotors?
I've got the service manuals, a good assortment of tools, a floor jack, jack stands and a little bit of experience. So I can probably handle this myself. :smash: If all that fails, I've got friends and the forum. :D
So what should I do?
Any and all tips are appreciated. This place rocks.
Thanks
Keith
The pulsing may be happening because the brake pressure modulator valve is shot. Or, the electronic brake control module may be going. You would have to replace either of these as they are not easy to repair.
SAVE THE WAVE :seeya  :yesnod:
