Temperature Valve Actuator Replacement
My next project involves two DTC codes under 99-HVAC. They are B 0367 C (Right Actuator Feedback Open) and B 0446 C (Right Actuator Out of Range). I have the automatic climate control system, and observe that the passenger side vents blow ice cold and cannot be modulated, so it appears that I have to replace the right actuator. I bought the 1998 factory service manual set so I have a pretty good idea of the process which seems pretty involved to say the least. My question is, once I have the dash apart to replace the actuator, is there anything else I should consider replacing while I'm at it? I do plan to replace both actuators since they are cheap enough. I would hate to finish this project only to have some other part prone to failure do so in 6 months. The car has 104,000 miles, has had several owners, and came without service records.
As to other parts while the dash is out, I would suggest it's a good time to go double din on the radio...
