Default Headlight issue

I’ve been having some problems lately with only 1 headlight wanting to come up on my 02 z06. I have found something that seems to always get it up though. When I turn the lights on and only the passenger side comes up, I turn them back off. Turn the high beams on and try again. If doing that still doesn’t work, with the lights off I get out of car and tap lightly all around the driver side headlight cover then with the high beams on I turn the lights on and the drivers side headlight comes up.
It seems to me there’s a loose connection somewhere on the drivers side somewhere. I’ve checked and all seems tight. I unplugged and looked at the headlight control module and all seems good there. This has got a little aggravating, any ideas?? Thanks

@02general Take a look at this Post and give it a try. Most likely that's what's happening to your car.

I had a problem with both headlights not coming up. About 50% of the time they would come up normally with no problems and the other 50% of the time neither headlight would come up. I replaced the headlight control module and it seemed to solve the problem. FYI, to replace the GM module,I used an aftermarket headlight control module--about $200 difference in price, The salesman who sold me the module, told me that in the last year he had sold 46 of the aftermarket modules and only one had been returned as being defective.

There's another possibility.....bump stops. There are FOUR bump stops. Two that limit the opening and two that limit the close. They are rubber/plastic that cover tabs and get worn out or fall off. Do a complete inspection and confirm they are not worn or missing. Two are easy to spot and inspect. The other two, not so easy to find and inspect.
