SLP has it for $399. I have seen an ad on the forum for 15% of SLP,
15% off 399 = a very good deal! check it out.

Just checked the web site its only listing the camaro version with egr valve and the price is now $465

It's a very simple mod to do. Almost as easy as changing brakes. I can do it in 30 minutes.

"But I think you can forget that 1 hour stuff that was posted "
No you were not slow it took myself & 2 buddies 3 1/2 hours to install - come to think of it , that's probably why it took 3 1/2 hours - it's not hard, but it does take awhile...
I could immediately tell the difference ..

  :smash: :seeya

Do I need any special tools for the installation? I read somewhere you have to remove the fuel rail?? Thanks!

Is this mod good for all years of C5? I thought I saw a post indicating 2002 and 03's had the LS6 intake already installed from the factory? Inquiring minds want to know!
Bill :) :)

The fuel rail of course has to be removed from the intake, but the fuel line
does NOT have to be removed from the fuel rail.
SLP's insrtuctions say to remeve it but you can leave it connected and lay
the complete assy. to the side.
You can buy the fuel line disconnect tool at most auto supply stores.
It is the same tool that is used to change the fuel filter.

HAPPY MOTORING!!

15 more horsepower? The later model cars on which this intake is stock only make 5 more horsepower than the earlier models. Where did the other ten ponies go in the later model engines?

Easy.. The pre 2000's were pig rich...The manifold not only gave them the 5hp gain..but leaned the car out for an additional 5-10hp.. :smash:

So why did GM only report 5hp gain? Can I expect 15hp gain from the LS6 manifold on a near stock 2000 c5 (vortex and corsa)?

Thanks!
