Question on gears
What gears did the 2000 coupes with a 6 speed come with from the factory?
If I wanted to switch the gears out, what would be a good set if I run the 1/4 mile occasionally, but use the car as a daily driver?

3.42s stock for all M6s :)
if you wanna make a change, I'd say go with the 3.73s, although expensive, they are "factory manufactured" gears :cheers:

You have a good gear, maybe some other mods such as a good air intake, headers and prefecting your launch technique.

Get the 4.10's!!! You will LOVE them....by far the best bang for the buck :smash:

Andy (A&A Corvettes, a supporting vendor) sold me the complete set up. Total cost was $1199. Since your not too far from Tempe, I would suggest you stop by Xtreme Motorsports for the install. I was going to try and tackle the job myself, but this is my daily driver, so I can't really be without it for more than 2 days. The going rate for installs is ~$500, which inlcudes fluids and gaskets.

everyone seems very happy with their 410's, I chose 390's as they seem perfect for the 1/4 with out a 4th to 5th shift. The gears feel like youve added another 50rwhp and I agree they are the best mod for the bucks.
