Default Radiator Cap

Hello,

I am about to install a new thermostat... this requires flushing the coolant system.... anyone got a picture of where that radiator cap is so I can drain the system?? pictures?

Thanks!

why would you have to flush the cooling system in order to replace the thermostat??
i believe you're looking for the drain plug on the radiator, which is located on bottom of radiator, right side. the radiator cap is on top of the overflow tplastic tank. hope this helps.

A word of caution, just turn the valve 90 degrees and pull it out. Otherwise you will shear a pin and need a new part.

:iagree: Just be careful of the drain plug. There is no "cap" as in the old days; you fill the system through the over-flow container. You can get by with just draining a gallon or so of fluid, when changing the stat. :yesnod: :)
