I got my wheels, tires, and sensors installed but not getting any pressure readings. Wanted to go through the reset procedure. I have these magnets and put them on either side of the valve stem - I got one wheel to honk but nothing more - is there a preferred weapon to get through this procedure?
you can buy a $10 tool off of Wal mart ,com, but you still have to supply a 9 volt battery, which bumps the cost well above free, but probably below a guy who charges.
I used to have a bunch of speaker magnets, but guess I don't play around enough lately, plus junk big speakers with good magnets are hard to find. I will probably hit up the place I buy my tires from, to avoid a charge. I know I can always spring for the $15 dollar option if needed. magnets are costly, but fun. I think a big *** magnet is the only effective size for this, from what I have read, no experience.
I used an old 5 1/4 speaker that I had sitting on the shelf. Just put the magnet on top of the sensor valve core and the horn honked...worked simple enough for all four
What was the brand of sensors you installed. Some of the newer sensors are still trained from the DIC but you need the $10 electronic tool to put the sensor into training mode. They won't work with a magnet.
I do not know the brand. Whatever Tire Rack sells. I bought wheels tires and sensors and had them balance them. Just told them I needed them to work with a C5 and they did.
Me too! I have an old car stereo speaker that I use... It's not a "high tech" procedure, any magnet that gets the job done is fine - no need to spend $$$ on anything fancy to do it.

I bought sensors that said they were fully compatible with my 04. Could not get them to work with a magnet. Bought the $10 tool and reset them with it and they worked.

I use the magnet in the bottom of a medium-sized magnetic parts bowl. If you're using those two magnets, which should work fine. I presume you are sticking them together and using them as one large one so the poles don't conflict.
