2001 Corvette Steering

Posting for a freind. Can start car up, mive forward and backwards. Cannot turn steering wheel in either direction. Column issue???

Thanks will relay that. Article states could be a blown fuse on motor that unthat unlocks wheel. Then if isn't buy this easy install kit.

First question, is this a manual transmission car? If so then you need to install the LMC5 and get the unlocker tool also.
If it is an automatic something else is going on. Automatics from 2001 up do not have the column lock from the factory.

It hasn't been mentioned. Get the battery load tested. Even though the car started, you may have a weak battery. This is a known contributor to the column lock problems.
