Im new here and to the corvette world just got my 2001 c5 a couple months ago and now need to do some maintenance, wanting to change out the rotors and was wondering if these Wilwood rotors would fit my c5 or what i should get 2001 Chevrolet Corvette C-5 & Z06 - Front Brake Kit Part No.: 140-9336-D Promatrix Front and Rear Replacement Rotor Kit
Daily driver/tracking eventually my plan is to add more power slowly throughout the next 2years, but im also not trying to spend a ton on brakes and rotors right now but not cheap it out
Brake Motive is the way to go then. They have an Ebay store and a full set of drilled and slotted rotors and ceramic pads is only $175 with free shipping. I just installed them on my car and am absolutely thrilled with them. Oh yeah by the way the rotors are zinc plated for protection from corrosion.

do you know if the wilwood rotors on my top post would work for the c5 without doing any modifications ? now sure if theirs a difference in rotor size since rim size is different from front to back, thats kinda what stops me from buying the front and back rotors together as a (package). Says it fits 01 corvette but i want to be 100% since its a decent amount of money
napa has good quality stuff that is often recommended by the track guys who buy a lot of rotors. Just avoid the lower line stuff , it is there to compete with loser priced auto parts chain stores, but is not always OEM quality.
Holes and cuts are just decorative cheese graters for your pads, unless you have issues with excess out gassing of the friction pads at speed. For street use, they are a cosmetic holdover from a different time, with different available materials, but do look real racey. It used to be one had to inspect the drilled rotors for cracks, but that seems to have changed, perhaps a different iron formula is now used.

so what would you recommend using? I rather stay away from the cheaper stuff forsure

Assuming it is Part No: 140-9336-D, they work with OEM calipers. These are fairly expensive for what your stated purposes are, but it is ultimately your decision and wallet. Hope you are getting a helluva deal.
Take a look at the Centric premium brand rotors plain face they are a great value along with the Carbotech 1521 brake pads you will be all set for street use or Auto X.
The Carbotech™ 1521™ is our high performance street compound. The 1521™ compound is known for its release and modulation, along with unmatched rotor friendliness. 1521™ is also a very low dusting and low noise compound with an excellent initial bite. This compound’s excellent linear torque production provides incredible braking force without ABS intervention. Carbotech™ 1521™ operating range starts out at ambient and goes up to 800°F (426°C+). 1521™ is suitable for ALL street cars, perfect for your tow vehicle or fleet vehicle. Carbotech™ 1521™ is NOT recommended for ANY track use.

My opinion (FWIW):
Brake Motive
Power Stop
Napa
I'll leave it to the track monster members to opine on the more heat tolerant heavy duty rotors...
Front rotors are larger in diameter and thicker than the rear ones so therefore are not interchangeable. I always replace all four rotors at the same time when I do brakes.

so should i not buy a “kit” that comes with all 4 rotors? I was looking at rock auto online they have the kits or pairs but obviously search for veichle and they come up no choice in sizes

Just select the 4 rotor set that fits your requirements-with or without pads. I did the Brake Motive rotors, then purchased Power Stop ceramic pads, separately.
