Default 99 C5 ECM issues

Good afternoon, maybe y'all can give me some In sight, central NY does not have any good corvette places, My parents are in Daytona Fl, seriously considering just bringing there for better mechanics.
I had an check engine light, service column lock, codes P0102, and P0332
So mechanic said I needed new ECM. (OK just do it and knock sensors too) he said because of exhaust system(BORLA and long headers) may get codes again and need special program. So pick vette up, check engine, same day, Now P0430
So, think I should get a tuner, dyno. If so? suggestions please?

Welcome to the Forum, Stacey!
Sorry about your problems. As Jeff mentioned, you should post this in the C5 Tech section of the Forum at https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...s-1997-2004-2/.
You will get better, in-depth answers there but
P0102 MASS AIR FLOW (MAF) SENSOR CIRCUIT LOW FREQUENCY;
P0332 KNOCK SENSOR (KS) CIRCUIT REAR
P0430 TWC SYSTEM LOW EFFICIENCY BANK 2

P0102 Some common causes: Lack of air flow from Air Filter to the MAF (Dirty Air Cleaner); MAF Sensor dirty or partially plugged with carbon; loose or bad wiring at MAF; MAF Failure.
P0332 Some common causes: Faulty Knock Sensor; Faulty Powertrain Control Module (PCM); loose or bad wiring
Po430 Some common causes: Check for exhaust leaks; bad O2 sensor/sensors usually after the catalytic converter; bad catalytic converter

I'm sure there are many other ideas members in the C5 Tech section will have.

Best wishes with an easy fix.

The PCM (ECM) is just reporting some of the issues you have with your Corvette. The P0430 code will set the check engine light, your Oxygen sensor is going bad. This is usually the front sensor, if you are going to replace one you might as well replace both. The P0332 code often occurs when you power wash you engine, water seeps past the intaake manifold and attacks the rear seal around the knock sensor (It is just a tight press fit) and the P0102 often occurs with a dirty air filter or a broken wire going into the coupler going into the flexible hose in front of the engine.

Being in Syracuse there should be a few good Corvette shops. You might go to the Regional Events area of the forum and check out the Northeast section. I am sure there will be several people there who can help you. Also for a good URL to check out how to access your engine codes from the drivers seat and an explanation of the codes you can try www.corvette-web-central.com/C5DTCcode.html for how to access then and what they mean.
