Hey folks...new member...I have a 98 Base Convertible.
60k miles. There are few weird things happening periodically. Such as when I turn on my headlights, sometimes it takes up to 5 minutes before they'll flip up...sometimes it's instant. My horn sometimes quits working, then sometimes it works fine. Just recently, my AC was working perfectly then two days ago, boom, it quit working. I'd hit the AC button and it would just flash. This morning, I decided to drive it to work...AC works perfectly. I don't believe the car has ever taken on water. Any ideas? I would appreciate any feedback.
The electrical gremlins in the C5 are well, famous . I have had some headlight issues. When it happens, I turn the light switch on/off a few times and it seems to help. Never had the horn problem but maybe just testing it periodically will help. Never had a A/C issue but I rarely turn it on since my top is down almost all the time in the summer.
Clean all your grounds!! That’s the first thing the do when there’s inconsistencies electrical issues. Next chase down the power side and make sure connections are good.
