Default 2000 C5 hyperflashing, and more.......

Hi guys. When driving my 2000 C5 in cooler weather, say 60-70°, turn signals are fine for maybe a half hour. Then they flash rapidly, like when you pull a trailer without a heavy duty flasher unit. Seems to be a heat issue. When starting it for the first time on any given day, it's OK for 15 to 30 minutes, then does this. If I flash it manually by hand, so it blinks at normal speed, only the rears flash, no front blinking. Anyone had this problem before? Thanks guys.......

Have you checked all your turn bulb sockets (and pig tail plugs going to the sockets ) ? Look for burned, discolored or melted sockets that maybe heating up and losing connection. Good luck

After you repair/replace your front turn signal sockets, replace the front bulbs with LED bulbs. The incandescent bulbs get extremely hot and melt the sockets. LED bulbs don't get hot. No more problems.
