Default New Brake Pads

Getting a set of Eradispeeds from Santa. Need to know what specifically should I do about brake pads? I guess I need new ones so that they can set properly. I am interested in braking as well as I do with current OEM brakes or better. I drive mostly on streets. Once or twice a year spend a day at the track (road race). Any recommendations about brake pad. Prefer low dust if meets criteria for equal or better braking.
Thanks.

If you where going to drive on the street and o track use I would say ceramic pads for low dust. Maybe some loss in brake power.

For a few days on the track the ceramics will not be good enough. So your best best is to stay stock.

If you want to do it you can use the ceramics for the street and change to stock or some good track pads like the carbotech panther + for track events. You can run the carbotech panther + on the street, but you will be a slave to your wheels. The dust drove me to go with the ceramics for the street. Most of the dust from the carbotech panther + will rinse off when its dry, but if you drive in the rain it makes a big mess.

Right now I have the stock pads in the rear with the ceramic for the street and then I change to the carbotech panther + for the track.

I would recommend the GM ceramic pads. I use them for street use and the occasional track day, and many auto-X events a year. They are QUIET, and as dust free as any pad that I have ever run. I can not tell any stopping power difference from the stock pads to these. I had the Hawk street pads that I purchased with the Eradispeeds, took them off after 5K miles. VERY noisy and dusty. Follow Baer's instructions on the breakin of your new rotors and everything will be fine. Can I get your Santa to visit my house with a set of long tube headers :D
