Before I tear into a project - I'd like some additional opinions... I have a clicking noise coming from the front passenger tire / hub. You can hear it when driving next to a fence or concrete barrier on the highway. The clicking progresses with speed while going straight and continues during braking, though slows. I have checked to make sure nothing is lose, tires are clean, lugs snug, and have installed new brake pads with new clips to ensure it wasn't pad chatter. It doesn't get louder when I turn.
All that said - I'm going to replace the bearing in an attempt to stop the clicking. I will say, in my experience, typically bearing issues have been more whiny and get worse with turning... but I don't know what to do next to fix the issue.
I'll answer this question in case anyone searches - this turned out to be an ever so slightly warped rotor. By replacing the OEM rotor, the clicking went away. No bearing issues.
Many times the center caps on the C5 will rattle/click at slow speeds. For those who have this problem, I solved mine by heating the retaining tabs and bending them outward just a small amount. You only need to do 2 or 3 of them, and don't overdo it. If you go too far, you'll break one, or more, off. Ask me how I know!!
