Fuse blows when car gets wet
I disconnected both the front and rear harness the goes to the tail lights and all the lights on the front bumper. Still blew the fuse. But, if I would let the car set up and totally dry out for a week or so, all was good.
So, I bought it to a shop as it needed the pullies/ tensioner and belt changed on the A/C anyway and my body was not wanting to do that again.
They didn't hunt very had cept for what I had already done.
Then, at one time, when all was good and I run a floor jack on one side to get the car up high enough to get my big jack under it to check and clean the radiators. I turn on the multi switch to check it and bang, it blew the fuse. Ah Ha, Twisting the frame does it also.
So later while up on quick jacks and changing oil I started following the main harness going to the back. Saw where it was really tight at the rear of the manifold where it bolts to the exhaust pipe. So moved that to a higher place so not in a bind.
Got the car wet yesterday and when getting home, Tried it so see if the fuse would still blow. No, all good. So, this morning , up on the jacks again and some window silicone seal and a piece of saturated foam was place between the harness and the exhaust manifold.
Gonna let that all harden a day or two and going after the next rain storm to see if all is good again.
