2001 c5 crank but no start
first time to this forum. My name is Eric. Now the problem.
I have a 2001 c5. I recently broke the PCV tube while replacing the oil sending unit. I went to the dealership and was told it would be 2 days until the part arrives. I continued to drive with the pcv broke. It started and ran like crap for two days. On the second day.I went to the gas station and car refused to start. I towed vehicle. I went down and purchased the pcv tube and installed it. Since car refused to start at gas station. I have been unable to start car. Even though pcv is fixed. Car is showing a p1518 code. It cranks but won’t start. I would like to also add that I had just recently replaced the door with a door from another corvette. If anyone has any idea on what could be possibly preventing the car from starting. Please enlighten me, so I can fix the problem and hopefully prevent myself from having to pay the exuberant fees the dealership demands. Thank you very much.

When the TAC module is unable to write or read data to and from random access memory (RAM), or the TAC module is unable to correctly read data from the flash memory or and internal TAC module processor fault is detected and the Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) is set.
If the Throttle Actuator Controller module (TAC) is not functioning, it will CRANK but wont start . Check the TAC Module fuse in the engine comp fuse box. See if there is VOLTAGE on the fuse test points on top of the fuse to chassis ground. Measure EACH FUSE TEST POINT TO GROUND ( Ignition must be in the RUN position) You should see full battery voltage on BOTH test points to chassis ground. Also check the fuse for continuity.
If you have proper battery voltage at the fuse, and a good module ground and the fuse is good, you most likely have a bad TAC module.
If memory serves me correctly, the TAC module is no longer available through GM. You may have source a good used module. Check VETTENUTS (Marc) as he has very good used C5/C6 parts and is a trusted forum supporter.
