Default Gutted Interior Now Electrical Issues

Folks,
Need some help here. I recently gutted the interior of my 2002 ZO6 for a roll cage to be installed. Its a track only car. I had no issues before I removed the interior. All has been removed - airbags, hvac, radio, etc. Everything other than the ECBM and the Yaw sensor. I'm having service active handling, service abs and service traction control messages. I have checked all the fuses. I have disconnected the battery for hours to reset. I have checked grounds that I know of to make sure they are clean. Car has LMC5 installed and I have not had any issues before or after install. I'm now getting remove key for 10 secs. Car is usually started and running when it happens. I get codes C1282 and c1243. No others. I have of course looked through other posts, but that could take days as these are common messages. I just believe mine is 100% an electrical issue due to stripping the car. Please let me know if you have any insight. Thanks in advance.

Your yaw rate sensor is not happy for some reason and the BPMV Valve Motor is stalled. You can apply an external power supply to the BPMV motor and run it for a few seconds to free it up. Give that a try. I would also check and clean the EBTCM ground again to make sure that its clean and tight. That motor used a good amount of current and if the ground isn't that good, it could effect its operation.

I would check that yaw sensor connector and make sure that the female pins in the harness connector are not all spread apart. and making a **** poor connection.

Bill,
Thanks for the reply and thanks for all the info you have on the forum. I spent a ton of time reading before posting.

I have cleaned all the grounds twice. I will need to figure our how to cycle the pump this weekend. Can I just rip it down the road and hit the brakes? I'm into the ABS all the time on the track. The motor gets used often. I have been trying to tackle the yaw sensor issue first as I have done that before when I installed aftermarket seat. All the wiring looks fine and nothing has changed since a few weeks ago when all was fine.
I am concerned the BCM is the issue. Its just very odd to not have any codes a week ago and after the interior removal and cage install I have multiple. I fear it could have been damaged when the interior was removed. There was some water from the HVAC removal in the car. Battery was disconnected and I didn't think it got on the BCM. But now I'm concerned.

If I wanted to have it rebuilt what is the best path? Is there an ABSFixer type company for the BCM? I would rather have this one rebuilt vs installing a new one and having to have it programmed. Thanks again Fraser

I think once the pump errors out the EBTCM doesn't let it run/work in normal mode. You have to excite it with an external power source. Once you get the pump working make sure there is new fresh brake fluid in the system and cycled. I don't think the BCM is causing the issues.

Okay, so got the yaw sensor code to go away. Not sure how but got out there tonight and put power to the BPMV. Easier than I thought to get to it and put power on it directly. Hope I got the polarity correct. I ran the motor for 10 seconds 2 times. The master cylinder was full of new fluid, but I didn’t do a full bleed. Also cleaned the ground nearest the BPMV.

im now able to get the 1243 code to go away for a few minutes, but as soon as I start moving it comes back. Before I would clear the codes and then start it up and instantly got the codes. Even if I cleared them while running they would come back immediately. So certainly better but not solved. What is the next step? Bleed the system?
