Default c5 vette automatic trans issue

Hi Folks, just have a few questions.... my auto trans all of a sudden after sitting for 2 weeks and a radiator change now takes about 3.5k to 4k rpm to engage 3rd gear.. and doesnt feel like its going into 4th either. so if i have to replace or rebuild. question 1 is there a better kit than stock to rebuild with ( aggressive driver). 2 what is the average cost for labor on a rebuild and install in the year 2020...(put that due to some post being from 2007)....or is there a decent priced after marker trans for higher performance but not a track car... car is a 2001 c5 z51 this was a mid year for the upgrades so it does have the 2002 upgrades.... thanks ahead of time!! any advice or ideas is appreciated!!

Since we don't know where you live in the big old USA .I will not
venture a guess on labor costs. Yes you can go to your local
transmission shop and have your tranny built to stock. I prefer
a performance tranny shop . Better parts and a good warranty.
You may have a local performance shop in your area. Check it out.
Some here will push vendors on this forum. They are reputable,
but one of many choices. It is not hard to have a high performance
tranny at a stock tranny price. Do your research.
Good luck

For example you can buy a RPM transmissions built 4L60e for $2300 all the way up to $5645. Depending on what you need.

Have you looked or checked to see if it might just be a little low on fluid. Maybe see if there's any leaks?

It's possible that your radiator shop messed up something to do with the transmission oil cooler lines.
