Default corvette evo ???

HI
taking into account beautiful beautiful system of taxation I put aside my projects with long themes the change of my corvette.
So, even if it means spending money rather than giving it away to these highwaymen that is the French state, 'therefore consider continuing to upgrade my C5.
I am aiming for around 600 hp. I have started to meet up but I want to understand the question.
several possibilities
Modified current engine, but I would not get more than 550 hp
replacement from a modified LS3
replacement of a LS9 from ZR1
In all cases, replace the gearbox and axle, the drive shaft is part of the reinforcement
what is ultimately the best choice ?????

thank you
jean luc

Build your ls1 .....sleeve and hone out the note to 4.185 maybe 4.25 and throw in a 4.0 inch crank flat tops 70cc head milled .003 and u might see 11-12to 1 be about 700 /800 natural aspirated

Personally I’m in the planning stage of a similar build talking a stock ls1 346 to a 500 plus ci ....and then throw 12 lbs of boost at that ....

I have never seen any LS block with a 4.250 bore. Not ERL, not LSX, not anything. AFAIK, 4.200 is the largest you can go with Darton sleeves......

Actually, the RHS tall deck block has reached 510 cubes for years. Then 3-1/2 years ago, a company in Australia has taken the RHS block to 527 cubic inches, thanks to a massive 4.750 stroke crank. They're an $80,000 engine, as of 3-1/2 years ago. There's no way to take an LS1 block to 500+ cubic inches. It's mathematically/physically impossible...

I guess one day I will put that argument to the test myself when I’m ready to rebuild my original short block..

I wish you luck. I believe the stock LS1 block can take-wow, it's been awhile-a 4.250 stroke, but the rods are super short. ERL altered LS1/6 blocks could be built pretty large, but they are no longer doing that. But I heard they were top quality. They altered the top of the LS blocks with with a thick piece of flat stock aluminum, making them essentially a "tall deck" based on the factory block. With 4.200 Dartons and a 4.25 stroke, that equals a "471". But there's a lot of work to do getting that 4.25 stroke into the LS1/6 block, and the rods are pretty short. Keep us posted, and again, good luck.

So, the most reliable solution for me is to change the engine and replace a modified LS 3, with a replacement of the carto we can pull 580 Hp and the modification remains discreet, because in France we can not make any dinon modification, in the event of a crash, no insurance ....
Or an LS9 engine from ZR1 700 to 800 hp, the engine is expensive but today with the French law n it's cheaper than changing the car, for 2022, penalty of $ 59,000 for 350 gr / CO2 ....
Completely crazy
