In some of the post is seems that some of the tuners like the guys at Cartek for example may be porting or port matching the zo6 intakes. Anyone have experience with altering or having an intake altered. On the smaller cube engines it may not be necessary but would seem to be a plus for the larger cube engines. Since we are basically limited to these intakes and an 80mm TB I know I'm not the only one to consider this, but breaking out the dremmel tools could get expensive on these intakes.
From what I heard, a LOT of tuners have tried modding the intake and very few had any promising results. Apparently its really easy to kill the midrange power on the motor by messing with the intake manifold, but I can't imagine that portmatching will hurt to more (nor would it help too much).
If you were planning on a diy mod, I'd say leave it alone. I called around a few places a year ago and all the shops (even ones that sold ported ls1 manifolds!) said it'd be a compromise and didn't really recommend it. Cartek may have things more down to a science now, so I'd contact them and go from there.
