Default HVAC/AC Removal

In process of building a track car. Just want to make sure I can remove the below without anything weird happening. Seems legit since I've already removed the HVAC module and plan on removing the compressor, belt, hoses, etc. Just wanted a sanity check.

To do it right, you should have a shop evacuate the system before removing it.

Does some part of this connect to a freon line? I thought this was just for air movement?

It's just when you remove the compressor, and the lines that go to the evaporator, condenser, etc. that it should be properly evacuated so you don't release the refrigerant into the air.
