I am getting ready to swap out cams and I am planning on changing the timing chain also. I have the ASP under drive pullie and I have heard that it requires machining to use with the SLP double roller. What timing chain will work with the ASP pullie without modification? TIA.
I'm using the RollMaster dual roller with the ASP pulley that I modified. Modding the pulley is a simple job for any machine shop. The machinist must indicate off the hub to get an accurate cut, though, due to the construction of the pulley.
RollMaster also makes a single true roller that's even cheaper than the double. My double cost me less than $80 shipped from Down Under in just a week from order date. I believe SDPC sells them as well. Katech and others sell upgraded single chains also. Click on images to enlarge.
