Ok I’m new so don’t get your panties in a bunch if I ask what you techies already know.
Fact: 2000 c5 hatchback z51
want to replace original shock with c6 z06 replacement shocks. All I know is it has active handling, don’t know if I have f55 magnetic ride. Questions: how can I tell, do I need simulators, how much should cost for install???
thanks ahead of time.

Z51 does not have magnetic ride. For the '97-2000, it was RPO F45. F55 was '01-'04. Not for sure if the '01 was first year, or '02. BUT-2000 was definitely F45 because I've owned my 2000 for going on 18 years. Either way, Z51 ANY year of C5 was NOT the F45 or F55. Hope this helps.....
