1997 P0705 code
yes I kept battery disconnected for a few hours and hooked it back up and it still showed the code, I then tried clearing it from the pcm about 10 times and just kept coming back.... also checked the wiring when I hooked up the new one and it was all good
Please advise if you rigged or aligned the switch before installing the switch to the trans, see below.?
When removing the switch, for replacement, that Trans should be in NEUTRAL.
J 41364-A Park/Neutral Position Switch Alignment Tool
Install the J 41364-A to the park/neutral position switch.
1.1. Align the two lower slots on the switch (2) with the two lower tabs on the J 41364-A .
1.2. Rotate the tool until the upper pin on the tool is lined up with the slot on the top of the switch (1).
2. Check that the transmission is still in NEUTRAL
Important: Do not remove the J 41364-A from the park/neutral position switch until instructed.
3. Install the park/neutral position switch to the transmission manual shaft.
4. Install the park/neutral position switch mounting bolts.
5. Remove the J 41364-A from the switch.
FYI, the tool is available on FleaBay,,,
Post up your findingd/fix.
Cheers,
Goose
The more I look at the circuit/function, I realize that I will need to adjust my circuit to gain the effect of a closed cold connection, and an open connection at 35' C
