Painting a targa roof
I'm looking to paint my Targa Roof, the car is Black, is there a special primer that is needed to paint the Acrylic roof with?
The coating is starting wear off a bit, I'm also adding a headliner to the car for sun protection, I just saw the headliner from RPI looks real good..

I prepared my roof for a coating of clear coat. It's going to be the same process. The material (I forget it's name), it very hard so it's tough to sand out damage and prepare. Not impossible just more time consuming. Probably easier for paint than for clear coat though because primer will help cover up slight imperfections. Your paint shop will be able to apply an adhesion promoter no problem.

gonna paint the roof black to match the car, give it 4-5 cotes of clear, add the head liner cause I really don't need the "moon roof" effect w/ the Targa roof, I'd rather have the shade in the summer w/ the AC running..
