AC venting question

AC venting question
I have a 1997 C5. Recently when using the air conditioner seems like some of it is blowing through the defrost vents causing condensation on the windshield. Is this something that is fixed manually or programed (computer)?

I see a small amount, two spots on my windshield when running AC. I assume the dampers that isolate the air flow from one function to the other probably not sealing up as they once did. Not sure how to fix other than replacing the dams and from what I have read it is a big job and honestly not going to do anything with it at present.
