The sequence for teaching is LF, RF,RR and LR. If the TPMS display on the DIC for the tire you are working on does not progress to the next tire after teaching with the magnet, then the teaching has not registered. The readout of what tire you are on is on the DIC.
After a few attempts and a few more magnets, it finally worked. Thanks all for your help, I will be back asking more questions in the near future. ✊🏼
I hope this post is easy to read,, and helpful. I worked for years in skilled trades. About 40 years ago, OEMs started installing powerful magnets in the transmission oil pans. Many pans actually had/have a "dimple" on the bottom of the pan, which the circular magnets would locate on. These magnets are shaped like a mini donut-About 1-1/2" outside diameter, with about a 1/2" hole in it, and maybe a 1/4" thick. They fit right over the TPMS stem, and are powerful. GREAT for programming the TPMS. I got mine from the OEMs while we were building transmission test stands for them. Any trans repair shop should have all you want to take, probably free!!!
