Default New TPMS Sensors

Had these at home and put them on some rims I just put onto my car. I looked at the listing and it said they are compatible for my 2000 FRC but I can not get them to program with a magnet so now I am wondering if I need a different magnet or these sensors aren't the right ones.
Thanks in advance

I also have a 2000 C5. A strong magnet works fine to reset the '97-'04 C5 TPMS-IF what you have are the actual '97-'00 TPMS. The '01-'04 will NOT WORK on the '97-'00 models if using a special tool OR powerful magnet. If your TPMS are for your MY car, you don't need any special tools.......

I am not aware of any TPS that work with that many model years. The 97-00 sensors are not compatible with the 01-04 cars, at least for the OEM sensors. If they do not program when you follow the service manual sync procedure, I doubt they are going to work with your car at all. JMO.

Yeah its looking that way
Oh well. I will not have any for a while I guess as they are on the car now. Not taking them back off until I need tires

Apparently the dorman 974-301 will work on the 97 to 2000 C5. I used this on my 04 and it says it's compatible with the 97 through 2000 C5. It does have to be programmed with the dorman tool to the car and you need another $10 tool since tool the magnets didn't work for me even though it said it does.

These may have been the right ones, but if you did not program them to your car before you installed them they won't work. These universal sensors are "blank" when sold and they have to be programmed to the specific vehicle they are going to be used on. Maybe the instructions for the sensor have the information on how to program them. You can actually clone your old sensors to some of the new universal sensors and just install them in their original locations and they will work.

No instructions, the vendor did write back and say that they can be paired up with on obd2 tool
I may try it if I get a tool but for now I am done messing with it
Should have made sure I got the right parts by looking to see what people on here were buying
