Yep, the 2000 is special and will cost roughly $80 delivered off ebay. My 200 has this number on the remote 10432147
That part# has been superseded with a new part#. I can't recall the new one right now. Search is your friend, and you'll find numerous options. The 2000 remote is NOT a special, one year only FOB. the '99, and other MY remotes will also work fine. The '01 and up will NOT work on the '97-'00 models.

Hopefully this isn't a dumb question, but does my 2000 C5 have a unique remote?
One of mine is dead and I've done all the tricks with new batteries, repairing cold solder joints with no success.
I thought I read that the 2000 series were different so want to make sure I replace with the correct one.
Thank You!

Corvette Recycling has an excellent used #10432147 Fob for sale today for $49.99. You may want to give them a shout. The new GM part# that supersedes the 10432147 fob is 19299230. Hope this helps......

Not to be pedantic, but the 2000 FOB is, indeed, a special one year only FOB.
Although any of the '97-'00 FOBs will work with '97-'00 C5s, the '97-'99 FOBs have the passive switch. The '00 FOB is the only one in this group that does not have the passive switch.

That may be true technically, but all that matters is other years will work if you can't find the 2 part numbers I listed above. I believe the 19299230 number I posted works with all 4 years ('97-'00), and has no passive switch.

or the turn signals? I see posts about a hazard switch or an additional harness at the knee bolster what is the best way to go for a permanent fix?
