I replaced my TPMS sensors on my 04 C5 vette yesterday. Long story short is I took my wheels off of my 98 C5 when I traded it and put the wheels from the 98 to the 04. I was told the 98 and the 04 TPMS were difference and wouldn’t work together. Yesterday I had new TPMS sensor on the car. I tried to get them sync but can’t get passes the FOB training. I only have 1 FOB and its sync to the car. Does anyone have any idea’s what I should do to get the TPMS system to work? Any help would be greatly appreciated and MARRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL.
Please keep in contact with any veterans you may know doing the Christmas Holiday because 22 veterans commit suicide daily.
The TPMS training and fob training are 2 different things. You can skip the fob training altogether since you didn't get a new fob. When Fob training comes up, press the options button once, and the tire training message will appear on the DIC. Then hit the reset button once. You'll need a round magnet to put around your tire valve stems. Start at the driver's side front tire and put the magnet around the valve stem. Once the horn beeps move to the passenger side front. Continue around the car until you've done all 4 tires.
^ What he said. Or if you know someone with a tech 2 (or are friendly with your local dealer) you can just delete the TPMS on your 04 altogether and be rid of it.
Thank you both for your help. When I get the FOB Training and I push the option button nothing happens, FOB stay on the screen. Thanks for your help!!
That definitely isn't normal. I've never heard of that happening. If you try to do the FOB training, does that work? I would check to make sure that your battery is fully charged. If it is, try disconnecting the battery for a few minutes. Reconnect and try again. If none of that works, you may need to replace the whole module. Just out of curiosity, what happens if you try to check the current tire pressure using the DIC?

There is no tire pressure showing up on the DIC at all. I’m going to discount the battery and see if it reset’s. Again thanks for your help.
No results once I disconnected the battery. I’m starting to think i have the wrong transmitters. MWWarload, i see you are from Virginia, i was born and raised in Virginia. About 40 miles north of Jamestown.
I'm sorry you're having so much trouble. It is possible that you got the wrong sensors. I'm concerned that your key fob won't train to the car either though. I know I had an issue training my TPMS a few months ago. I had some issues with the door locks as well. I replaced my battery, and this solved both issues right away. The C5 is SO sensitive to the smallest changes in voltage.
I was born and raised in Richmond, but I live in Fredericksburg now. The traffic here SUCKS!

I lived 2 hours from Richmond and 2 hours from Fredericksburg. Thanks for your help today.
I added AC Delco 25773946 TPMS Sensors to my 03 Z06 after a buddy turned the TPMS option on. Had to return 2 as they wouldn't reset with a magnet. Probably dead batteries. The replacements worked fine.
BTW we found waving the magnets around the stem got a faster response.
