Default hey guys, new here

Hey guys, im new here
i dont own a vette, however i do like them.
BUT
the main reason im hoppin on here is this:
im done restoring my 1970 gmc pick up truck, and im wnating to add some more muscle to it, and im gonna beef up the motor some and im lookin to put a 6 speed tranny in it, whether it be vette or camero.

i found a good deal online for a t56 tranny out of a 98 vette

and i was wondering

will this bolt up fine to a "normal" 350 i had heard somewhere that most transmissions newer than 97 HAVE to have a computer connected to them for them to even work. is this true??

hopeing and praying its not
thanks in advance guys

Nate

Welcome to the Forum.I don't know the answer to your question, but if you can't get the answer here(which I doubt),try calling you local Chevie dealer and ask to speak to a tech. You may want to pick up a copy of Hot Rod magazine and call a transmission specialist.I am sure either way you will have your answer. :chevy :chevy :flag :flag

Totally different system, the clutch and flywheel are bolted to the engine while the tranny is at the back of the car.
