I converted my old 1997-00 tpms with the newer 01-04 module. I bought the newer fobs and tpms for the tires. When I tried to program and connect the fobs to the car, I get to the point where the car tells me to click the lock and unlock buttons at the same time, then nothing happens. The fobs do not connect to the car.
I'm wondering...is the module working (it was used) if the car tells me to press the lock/unlock buttons or could it be a bad module?
The fobs are new so I dont think both of the batteries would be bad...maybe one but not both.
If I didnt attach the wires correctly from the module wiring harness to the new plug, would the car still attempt to connect to the new fobs?
I guess im not clear if the dash readout is coming from the module or somewhere else...
Anyone know about this?

 

Hay, have you tried to learn the TPMS first?.
My fobs stopped working a long time ago I also tried replacing the moduals. Guess what my fobs still don't work. But I'll be following along. Good Luck.

 

I havent tried the tire sensors yet, but might be a way to see if the module works.

 

Don't forget.this is coming from a guy who can live without the fob. Thou I do miss my window valet.

 

Can anyone tell me whether the TPMS module puts the messages on the dash when key fob is being trained or if the message is being generated from something else?
